Joli hôtel très bien situé, calme, propre, le seul bémol: le petit déjeuner est au sous-sol, ce qui est très dommage et pousse à le prendre ailleurs.

Perfect location for those who like to go out in the Marais quarter and also very easy access to all the sightseeing (metro, busses, walking).
Tips about Paris
Use of taxi is not that expensive and very convinient, specially in the late/early hours where metro/bus are not easily available.

The Hotel du Vieux saule is in my favorite neighborhood with great cafes just around the corner. Hallways and rooms are small, but recently re-done with modern furnishings and fabrics. Overall, very nice. This is always my first choice of places to stay while in Paris.

THE ONLY NICE PERSON WAS THE YOUNG MAN WHO HELPED ME FIND A TAXI AT 5 AM TO TAKE ME TO THE HOSPITAL AS I HAD AN ALLERGIC REACTION AND NEEDED IMMEDIATE MEDICAL ATTENTION. COULD NOT EVEN WATCH TV OR TAKE A HOT BATH WHEN I RETURNED FROM HOSPITAL.

Excellent location for visiting key attractions by public transport or by walking.

Some negotiation re room costs for more than 4 nights stay would be an added incentive.
Tips about Paris
Learning about bus routes is worthwhile - very easy to navigate and you see more than by metro.

A nice and friendly hotel in a quiet street in Marais where the staff and service is very, very good. The room was a bit small, but with a nice view to the small street.
